The Services Board — Overview
The Services board is where forum members offer their professional skills to clients, paid in BTC. It works less like Upwork and more like a high-trust referral network — your forum reputation is the price-setting variable, not your portfolio.
Who posts here
- Service providers — writers, designers, devs, marketers, translators, escrow agents
- Clients — projects, individuals, companies needing crypto-savvy contractors
- Long-running threads — top providers maintain a single thread updated for years
What gets posted
Each provider thread typically has:
- Headline service offer
- Sample work (linked off-forum)
- Rate sheet (often USD-quoted, BTC-paid)
- Trust references
- Recent completed work documentation
- Application / contact instructions
Culture
- Pseudonymity is respected. Don't ask providers to reveal their real identity.
- Reputation precedes ability. A Hero Member with mediocre portfolio out-earns a Newbie with brilliant portfolio — for now.
- Trust feedback is public. Every completed job tends to leave a public footprint.
- Public over private negotiation. For high-value engagements, the trade thread should be public.
What works
Do
- +Maintain a single service thread, updated regularly with completed work
- +Use escrow on all but the smallest engagements
- +Document each completed engagement (with permission)
- +Specialize narrowly — 'Solidity audits' > 'all dev work'
Don't
- −Cross-post the same offer in multiple threads
- −Promise unrealistic turnarounds to win bids
- −Skip escrow because the client 'trusts you'
- −Take engagements outside your skill — your reputation pays for the gap
Common service categories
- Content + writing — articles, whitepapers, ANN threads, technical docs
- Design — branding, marketing graphics, UI/UX
- Development — smart contracts, integrations, audits, custom tools
- Marketing + community — Telegram/Discord management, social campaigns
- Translation — high-volume language services
- Escrow — neutral third party for trades (high-trust members only)
What to avoid
Some "service" offers violate the forum's rules:
- Account selling / account renting
- Merit trading
- Trust manipulation services
- Fake review writing
- Anything that helps circumvent the merit/trust/ban systems
Engaging with these as provider or client → ban.
